TorDACH ist ein 1997 gegründetes Netzwerk von mehr als 30 Wissenschaftlern verschiedener Fachrichtungen und Laien, die Informationen in erster Linie zu Tornados, Wasserhosen und Gewitterböen in den Ländern Deutschland, Österreich und Schweiz sammelten. Hagel, Sturzfluten, Böenfrontwirbel, Blindtromben und Blitze waren ebenfalls von Interesse. Das Ziel war eine belastbare und vollständige Klimatologie dieser lokalen Unwetter in jedem der drei Länder.
Nach etwa 10 Jahren ehrenamtlicher Arbeit war dieses Ziel erreicht. Die Ergebnisse finden sie hier auf unseren Webseiten. Darüber hinaus erfolgt die klimatologische Erfassung von Unwettern in ganz Europa seit 2006 in der Europäischen Unwetterdatenbank ESWD, die vom ESSL entwickelt und fortgeführt wird.

TorDACH, being founded in 1997, is a network of more than 30 scientists from different fields and laymen who collected information mainly on tornado, waterspout and downburst events in the three countries Germany (D), Austria (A), and Switzerland (CH). Hail, flash floods, gustnadoes, funnel clouds, and lightning were also events of interest. The main objective was to obtain reliable and complete climatological records for these severe local storm phenomena in each of the three countries.
After about 10 years of voluntary work, this objective was achieved. You can find the results here on our webpages. Additionally since 2006, climatological recording of severe convective storms all over Europe is being carried out in the European Severe Weather Database ESWD, which is developed and maintained by the ESSL.
